Each construction site presents its own challenges. The RECA UNICON HEX multi-purpose drill bit is the universal solution for tradespeople who value precision, versatility and efficiency. Its centring geometry makes it easy to drill precisely, while the finely diamond-ground high-performance carbide tip ensures clean and rapid penetration into the material. The optimised flutes ensure fast chip removal and efficient drilling - whether in wood, metal, plastic, tiles or concrete.

Application area:

  • Can be used on impact drills and cordless drill/drivers for rotary or impact drilling.

  • For medium-hard tiles, a reduced speed of approx. 400-600 rpm is recommended.

  • Allows for effortless drilling in vertically perforated bricks with no cavity web breakout.

  • Ideal for interior finishing, renovations and all work where maximum flexibility is required.

Field of Application:

  • Tiles and ceramics up to scratch hardness 8

  • Masonry (brick, sandstone, clinker brick, concrete up to C 20/25)

  • Wood, soft and light wood, compact and hard wood, chipboard, sandwich elements (e.g. window frames)

  • Plastics and metals up to 3 mm (e.g. iron, aluminium, copper)

Advantages:

  • HEX shank: For three-jaw drill chucks - secure connection, no spinning

  • Maximum power transmission from the power tool to the drill bit

  • Versatile: Can be used with drills, cordless drill/drivers or impact drivers with ¼ inch hexagon socket

  • Precise drilling due to centring geometry and diamond-ground carbide plate

  • Robust drill head for impact drilling in hard materials

  • Optimised flutes for fast drilling progress and clean drill holes. Up to 40 % more holes per battery charge - ideal for use with cordless drill/drivers

Advice:

Impact mode should be used when drilling in concrete, stone and solid block, while rotary mode is recommended when drilling in metal, steel, wood, plastic or brittle materials such as hollow brick and ceramic tiles.

If used correctly, additional cooling can extend the service life of the drill bit, but is not strictly necessary. For particularly hard types of rock, it is advisable to allow the drill bit to cool down briefly after each hole to maximise service life and reduce wear.
